Early Days

I was born in Queens, New York, on July 20, 1947, and spent my early years in Babylon, Lawn Guyland. Babylon was a sleepy little fishing town at the time, a quiet place in the suburbs where my parents bought their first home. Little did my father know his short commute to work on country roads would soon turn into a big traffic jam.
I spent my junior high and high school years in Melbourne, Florida, where I watched rockets from Cape Kennedy, sat in the sand, and surfed. By the time I was 14, I knew Florida was too hot and humid for me. I started looking to the north for colleges.

Adult Life:

I have been married to Susan since 1970. We are both runners and taught in Nashua, New Hampshire from 1972 to our retiremnts. We have two grown sons, Dan and Jacob.

When the boys left home we got a sheltie. Chelsea was a great running dog and lived a long life. In 2007 we got another dog, Toby, a beagle-bichon mix. He is full of life.

In 2004 I became interested in photography, especially bird photography. I now sell fine art prints. Some of my images are here.

A few old email posts from mailing lists I belong to along with photos.
